I am obsessed with running.

My obsession inspired 26.2 -- a visual dissection of my training for the 2009 Detroit Marathon. I wanted to see the relationship between my weeks of training, the days of the week, and the mileage I ran. I wanted to see my pace not just feel it. I wanted to visualize my goals by breaking up the race into attainable markers. I wanted to track how my motivation built through the process.

These visualizations are based on reflections of my own training, but I hope they will inspire, encourage, motivate, help, work for others. From one runner to another, my advice is to set your goal and take it step by step -- one foot in front of the other and one breath at a time.
